Organizational change initiatives are a team effort. It is the job of the leadership team to ensure that transition is a success. To do so, the right leaders must be put in place, and each must hold a thorough understanding of their roles and responsibilities.

Examine the , then analyze the following:

  • What are the challenges facing Delta Pacific?
  • What change initiative would be most effective to implement within this organization? (Use the Rasmussen Resource Library if you need assistance with identifying change models.)
  • What type of change leaders need to be put in place? (Ex.: Change Lead, Change Managers, Change Analyst, etc.)
  • What departments, areas, and stakeholders will each leader be responsible for?
  • Where will each change leader be most effective?
  • What roles will each change leader need to play at their level of influence?

Leadership Structure Plan

Utilizing the above information, create a Leadership Structure Plan that includes the following:

  • At least three change leader positions to be put in place for the change initiative.
  • Description of each change leader’s roles and responsibilities.
  • Account of departments they will lead.
  • A short description of how each position will effectively aid in the success of the initiative.

Note: When creating your plan, think in terms of a job description and job analysis, and the detail used to specifically identify the roles and responsibilities of each particular job assignment.  While this particular project does not have a page requirement, keep in mind that a thorough plan should be no less than 3 pages in length.

The paper should include an APA formatted cover page and reference page.

Instructions

Gaining an understanding of the various models of leadership theory is critical in order to understand what skills and abilities are needed to influence the desired change in an organization.

Research at least two organizations that have had similar issues and successes during a change management process.

For this assignment, write a 2-3 page analysis of the problems and the change models that were implemented to address each organization’s problems.

Next, you will compare and contrast the change models used.

Assignment Requirements are as follows:

  1. Provide an overview of the issues that each organization faced.
  2. Include an example of at least three similarities and three differences between each change model.
  3. The paper should include an APA formatted cover page and reference page.
  4. The paper should include at least two peer-reviewed sources, such as journal articles from the Rasmussen Library.

Introduction

In this 5 9-sentence paragraph, introduce the two organizations by name and industry. If they are well-known (Delta or Google or Sears or Kodak) introduce them briefly but it is alright to assume that readers are familiar with orgs this large and/or established. More introduction is needed if the organization is smaller or not well-known — be sure to describe the product or service they provide. Briefly state the issue each faced that required change leadership. Perhaps a merger/acquisition, perhaps a technological development, or sudden departure of a long time CEO or President.

Scenario

After working in the healthcare industry for many years as an expert consultant, you have decided to make the leap and open your own healthcare consulting firm. Based on your reputation and the recommendations of others, you have landed a major first clientThe White House! Your company has been hired to conduct research and develop a solution to healthcare reform by creating a model of what healthcare delivery should resemble in the United States. You have also been appointed as a top advisor to the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions U.S. Senate Committee and must present the model over a three day summit.

Instructions
