QUESTION: This assignment has 2  parts.

Identify a philosophy that justifies the judges actions and why it justifies his actions. (For this part, you’ll want to focus on the theories in part 1 of the book.)
Apply a philosophy that would condemn the judges actions and explain why his actions conflict with that philosophy. (For this part, you’ll want to focus on the philosophies in part 2 of the book.)

(Aaron Hernandez case) The essence of this assignment is to address the issues, legal considerations, and concepts that arise from initial investigation through adjudication of the case.

The case must incorporate all aspects of the criminal justice systemfrom investigation, to arrest, evidence, court proceedings, and eventually sentencing.

Submit your voiceover PowerPoint presentation, ( topic chosen, a social demographic that might arise in, affect, the criminal justice system) which deals with a social demographic that you think may have a significant impact on the criminal justice system, in the appropriate drop box.

For your 1215 slide voiceover PowerPoint presentation, choose a social demographic or diversity issue that you think may have a significant impact on the criminal justice system. As indicated in the Module 7 notes and the Module 8 notes, race is generally considered an issue in this realm. However, do you see any other demographic that may have an effect, cause a dilemma, or be the foundation for policy or procedural change? Age, ethnicity, religion, culture, SES, educational level, physical/mental ability (disability), are variables you may want to consider.

Discuss how the demographic selected relates to policy/procedural change. What is the impact on the criminal justice system?

Begin your voiceover PowerPoint presentation by choosing a demographic or diversity issue that might arise in, or affect, the criminal justice system. This will be the foundation for your presentation, which is due in Module 8.

Write an introduction to the demographic or diversity issue of your choice. Explain why you consider this important as it relates to the criminal justice system. Perhaps provide an example to guide your instructor in understanding your rationale for this choice. Submit an MSWord document of 250 words.

In this activity, you answer a discussion question based upon the article, Examining the Effect of Selected Demographic Characteristics on Crime-Reporting Behavior. To satisfactorily participate in this discussion, you will need to do some research of your own about crime victimization, as well.

In the assigned reading, you examined the discussion of crime reporting. What demographic characteristic do you think has the greatest influence on crime victimization? Is it age, race, ethnicity, religion, etc? Why do you think that is? Are there statistics to confirm this?  Give an example and provide citations and references to support your position.
